How PathPort Works

Every step, explained clearly.

From your first search to your first day of class — here is exactly what PathPort does, what your institution does, and what you are responsible for. The sequence is the same in every destination; the permit and the authority that issues it are named on each destination’s own page.

01

Browse and compare courses

Student

Use the PathPort course directory to compare published programmes by subject, duration, fees and internship structure. Every fee is shown in the currency the institution charges it in. All fee information shown is the actual tuition fee — no agent markup, no hidden commission.

02

Submit your application

Student

Complete the PathPort application form with your personal details, educational background, and passport information. Upload your documents — transcripts, mark sheets, and passport copy — directly into your secure document vault. PathPort routes your application to the college's admissions team.

03

College reviews and makes an offer

College

The college reviews your application through their PathPort institution portal. If they decide to proceed, they issue a conditional offer letter. PathPort notifies you immediately and makes the offer letter available in your dashboard for download.

04

Accept the offer and pay the first invoice

Student

Review your offer letter and accept it through PathPort. The college then raises your first tuition invoice via PathPort. You pay by bank transfer and upload your payment proof. PathPort verifies the proof and notifies the college to confirm your seat.

05

Your institution submits the permit application

Institution

Once your payment is confirmed, your enrolled institution submits your study-permit application to the destination's immigration authority through that authority's official systems. PathPort does not submit it — only the institution can. PathPort tracks the submission status and notifies you of updates.

06

Approval issued — prepare to travel

Student

When the authority issues its decision, your institution uploads the document to your PathPort dashboard. PathPort notifies you by email and in-app. You can then complete whatever your destination requires before departure — a visa at its nearest mission, an arrival declaration, or both. Each destination page states its own.

07

Arrive in your destination

Student

Present your approval at the border. Your institution completes your permit enrolment after you arrive, where the destination requires it. PathPort's arrival services section covers pre-departure preparation, accommodation, banking, insurance and your first week.

08

Begin your programme

Student

Where a destination builds a work placement into the programme, your coursework and placement run to the structure that programme states. PathPort remains your support channel for document requests, invoice management, and any queries during your studies.

What PathPort does not do

  • • PathPort does not submit study-permit applications to any immigration authority. Your enrolled institution does this.
  • • PathPort does not guarantee admission, visa approval, or employment outcomes.
  • • PathPort does not hold or process tuition fee payments — payments go directly to the institution via bank transfer.
  • • PathPort does not add commission or markup to published course fees.
  • • PathPort does not share your documents with any party other than your enrolled institution and required regulatory bodies.
